The Holy Spirit and Your Prayer Language

Message: The Holy Spirit and Your Prayer Language

It is a season to receive God's favor. When you have done the following and you ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit you have met all the conditions for the fullness of the Holy Spirit and should receive by faith through thanking Jesus for filling you with the Holy Spirit. The basis of your faith is that God does not lie (Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2).

>>You believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life. Acts 2:38, 39
>>You turned from sin to follow him Acts 2:38; 1 John 1:9. If you haven’t confessed any known sin do so and God will cleanse you.
>>You showed your thirst by responding to the promise by asking in faith. John 7:37-39
>>You asked Jesus to baptize you in the Holy Spirit Luke 11:13
>>You must now receive the Holy Spirit by faith. It is done. Each time you pray say to God ..  'Thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit and giving me my prayer language.'

Receive the prayer language also by faith. You already have the language in you. Learn to speak it out. Neglect not the gift that is in you. When you speak, it may sound like one word or sound. Just take time to repeat the one or few words in prayer. You may or may not have an emotional experience. The words are spiritual and may not make sense to your mind. Say them anyway. As you repeat the few or one word being thankful to Jesus the baptizer in the Holy Spirit, sooner or later the dam of living waters will burst forth and the language will pour out of your heart as living waters.

The Value of Praying in Tongues

The Bible attaches value to speaking in tongues. Desire and step up to a new level in experiencing the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Exercise his spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12 – 14)  including praying in the spirit and in tongues.

Praying in tongues:

- Magnifies the Lord Acts 10:46
- Declares the wonderful works of God Acts 2:11
- Is talking to God. A prayer language 1 Corinthians 14:2, 14, 18
- Is perfected by love  1 Corinthians 13:1
- Refreshes and gives rest Isaiah 28:12
- Builds up faith 1 Corinthians 14:4; Jude 20; 2 Corinthians 4:13
- Is the Holy Spirit interceding for you Romans 8:26-27
- Opens the way for other gifts of the Spirit Ephesians 6:18
- Is a sign to unbelievers 1 Corinthians 14:22; Mark 16:17
- Is a weapon of spiritual warfare Ephesians 6:17; Isaiah 59:19b
