Confirmation: Proof of Kingdom Branding

John 5:36; John 4:11; Acts 2:22

Manifestation is the showing up of what God has already settled in heaven. God manifests himself in you and through you to confirm who you are in Christ. A victorious life comes from meditating on who you are even before you see the evidence. For example, if battling with sin you do not overcome by focusing on the sin but by focusing on the truth that you have been made righteous. If you are afraid of problems in your past you overcome by focusing on the truth that you are a new creature the old has passed away. Regardless of feelings and circumstances, your light has come already. You can do all things through Christ. And you have a marvelous destiny if you trust him.

Jesus challenged people of his day to believe that he was in the Father and the Father in him on the basis of Gods confirmation through signs or mighty works they had seen (John 5:36; John 4:11; Acts 2:22). Confirmation is to say yes this is the correct brand -  the genuine original brand.   It is to testify in favour of something. A different thing could do similar works. Works alone are not enough always confirm the origin. Check who it points to. Does its fruit resemble Jesus and in line with his word? God also wants to confirm who you are by mighty works not only at the healing crusade but in your day to day life - in your employment, studies, marriage, finances, and influence.

In commerce, branding covers  terms, a design, a mark, or other feature that distinguishes one sellers' goods from those of other sellers. A brand is associated with a certain quality and performance. God forbid that we remain Christians who are like a Mecedes Benz with an engine of a small motor cycle (scooter). Or worse one with no engine and you have to push/carry it around. That is not an easy thing to do. The Christly kingdom brand  bares truth, results, compassion, goodness, serving attitude, and gives glory to Christ.  It is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom 14:17; I Cor 4:20). God wants to attest the brand of our Christaianity and works. My prayer is that our lives will confirm kingdom branding. We have to steward the God brand (II Pet 1:4). He is transforming us into his likeness (Rom 8:29).

What should mark us as Gods people? Do you know your brand? Several marks confirm the God brand. They include the following which our church need most right now.

Prayer

God is calling us as a church to prayerfulness. He will not bring us to forth and fail tom give us the strength (Isa 66:8, 9). it's a season of intensified corporate prayer. Prayer life indicates where ones strength comes from. Where does yours come from. Prayer is your first ministry. God can only do what we allow and we allow him through prayer. Prayer works. Let's grab every opportunity to pray together as a church. Make an effort to join others every Friday 1800 for prayer at the church.

Dominion

David demonstrated resilience by being able to come back from set backs. After killing Goliath, a giant that was tormenting Gods people, he despite being annointed to be king, was on the run from Saul. He reached his lowest point at Ziklag where he wept until he had no more strength to weep. Even his friends wanted to kill him. But from this point things turned and he was crowned king at Hebron. He moved from weeping at Ziklag to coronation at Hebron. Sometimes God allows us to go so low as if so that we get low enough in order for him to lift us up high enough (also Phil 2:5ff). Remember that you are designed to rule in the midst of your enemies (Ps 110:3).  The snake from Moses rod swallowed the snakes by  magicians. Jesus came to restore the dominion Adam lost (Gen 3).

Concecration

You dont just rule on public matters. Your dominion begins with dominion over sinful habits in private life. Victory in private life in the area of handling sexuality, self control, etc, sets you up for public victory. David overcame a lion and a bear in private before killing Goliath, a national challenge, in public. There are things God'ls people do and things they do not do because of who they are. A God fearing, sin shunning, attitude and life confirms your brand as a child of God. Sin gives satan a right to have power over you. Confess your sin and turn from it (II Cor 6:17; Phil 1:9).

Mission/work

You have work to do to reach out to those who still have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as their saviour. Gods manifestations are for a mission not for commemoration. Peter wanted to build booths at the mountain of transfiguration but Jesus had a bigger purpose (Mat 17:4). The purpose was not for him to camp at the mountain but for him to be inspired to go from the mountain to share Christ (Mat 4:19; Mat 17:16). Get your needs met by reaching out to the needy in your world. Give sacrificially to winning souls. List potential people to invite to church and start praying for the right time and way. Then step out and talk to them. You will be amazed at what God will do.
