Our God is Able

Our God  is Able
Numbers 14: 24

Walking with God is an adventure,  enjoy it.  Refuse to walk a passive actionless walk with the almighty God, creator of the universe….. Every time you face insurmountable situations you must just stand still and see the salvation of the Lord and say “ I wonder how God is going to deliver me this time”  and watch the drama unfold.
The Lord delivered the children of Israel with a mighty hand with signs and wonders.  He divided the Red Sea and they walked on dry ground. Pharoah and his chariots  were thrown into the sea and perished.  The Lord provided manna in the wilderness and caused water to gush out from the rock for them  to drink.
When  Moses sent twelve  spies to spy out the land,  ten spies brought  back a bad report.   The land was indeed flowing with milk and honey, but the ten spies also  saw  fortified cities and the descendants of Anak  and got intimidated.  They said the people were stronger than  them and they were not able to go up against them. They forgot the presence of God and all that He had done for them. They walked by sight.  It was true that the people were stronger than they and the cities were very large and fortified. The giants were real but God was  greater and able.
Our adventure walk with God is a walk of faith and not of sight. The ten spies perished in the wilderness instead of enjoying the adventure.  But Joshua and Caleb’s faith was not put to shame. God liked the spirit of Caleb (Num 14: 24)  because he believed that His God was able.  He considered what he had seen of God’s power and glory as enough to convince him about God’s  ability and willingness. He  did not need any more persuasion.  When they entered the promised land, they met the captain  of the army of the Lord.  When they came to a  very large fortified city of Jericho, they just went round seven times and it fell (Joshua 6: 1- 27). Faced with  five kings and their armies God fought for them  by casting down large hailstones on them from heaven. The sun stood still, the moon stopped until Joshua, and the people finished destroying their enemies.

The issue is,  the battle is the Lord’s and the GLORY is HIS but the victory is yours. You may not figure out how God is going to give you the victory. God will  do whatever He chooses,  to deliver you. Today it does not matter what  the reality of  your circumstances is. God is well able to deliver.  Remember  what God  has done in the past.   You do not need to fear what will happen in the future. Do not panic, you don’t need to help God by lying, stealing, and cheating.  Trust in the Lord. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Obey His word,  wait on the Lord. Be bold do whatever He tells you to do in faith.
Remember what God has done in your life.  How much more do you want to see before you believe that He is able to help you in the challenges you are facing right now?    What more do you need to see before you believe. Does God like the spirit  in you? What kind of spirit is it? The ten spies had a different spirit from Caleb:   their spirit was of fear,  doubt, unbelief  disobedience , going back to Egypt,  that forgot the mighty acts of God and a spirit of discouragement.  They only succeeded  in discouraging the whole nation.
May the Lord create in you  a clean heart and renew a right spirit (Psalm 51:10). Believe in the Lord and enjoy the adventure!
